Genomics Research and Development Institute

The Genomics Research-Development Institute is a public institution established and funded by the Romanian Government, with the aim of developing the national genomics infrastructure, namely to increase the capacity for research-development and innovation in the fields of omics, bioinformatics and biotechnology, as well as in the materialization of the resulting scientific research opportunities. GRDI specializes in genomic data generation, management, analysis, and computational genomics for a better diagnosis, prognosis and development of cutting-edge therapies.
GRDI participates in the EU funded projects Genomic Data Infrastructure (GDI) and Genome of Europe (GoE), and is a major partner in the ROGEN project for the development of genomic research in Romania, lead by the Carol Davila University of Medicine and Pharmacy.
